The Kinangop Technical and Vocational Training College (TVC) was established in 2018, and offers diverse diploma, certificate and craftsmanship courses. The Kinangop TVC is part of Technical and Vocational, Education and Training (TVET) institutions that provide practical knowledge, skills and competencies that have become an essential catalyst of development and growth in Kenya and globally.
The Kinangop TVC is continually improving its training facilities and infrastructure to enable its students obtain high quality and practical professional skills and knowledge, and is regulated and accredited to the Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETA). Collaboration with local and international institutions and industrial actors are essential for purposes of promoting research, training and skills acquisition, and are thus part of the TVC’s focus activities.
The Board of Governors of the TVC strives to entrench and safeguard proper governance of the College in accordance with the applicable laws, regulations and policies. The aspiration of the Board is to ensure that the TVC progresses into a globally competitive College in training, skills acquisition and research, through the procurement and retention of the most suitable resources.
The TVC, through its 2022-2028 Strategic Plan, aspires to improve the quality of its training services through effective leadership, coordinated efforts and teamwork, in the expectation of achieving a comparative advantage within an increasingly competitive education sector globally. The Strategic Plan has facilitated focused target setting and priority based resources allocation. Further, the Strategic Plan is a vital guidance instrument in the confrontation and mitigation of the diverse challenges that affect the Kinangop TVC, to enable the College achieve and surpass its desired training objectives.
