At the Agriculture and Environmental Studies Department, our mission is to nurture graduates who are equipped with comprehensive knowledge, practical skills, and a positive attitude, empowering them to effectively address the evolving challenges of food security, sustainable agriculture, and environmental conservation.
Within our department, we focus on two key areas: Agriculture and Environmental Management.
We offer a variety of programs, including diploma and craft certificate courses in agriculture and environmental studies. Our diploma and craft certificates are structured in modular systems, each lasting one year.
Looking forward, our vision is to enhance our department's self-sufficiency through income-generating activities that align with the following objectives:
- Establishing a modern greenhouse project for crop production and research.
- Implementing soil testing and advisory services to improve agricultural productivity.
- Providing environmental consultancy services on soil conservation, afforestation, and waste management.
- Setting up demonstration farms to promote modern agricultural practices.
We are dedicated to continuously expanding our capabilities to meet the needs of our students, community, and industry partners.
Sincerely,
Gloria Chepngetich
